  1. A few years ago, I saw a little girl get her shoe laces caught in an escalator at Four Seasons Mall, but those weren't crocs. By the way, thanks for telling me what those shoes are called.

  2. Hey, if I can't broaden the internet's footwear and retail knowledge, what good am I?

  3. I have a pair of knock off air walk crocs from payless (half the price of the real thing) I rarely wear them beyond home (great shoes for going out into the yard and around the house though) and I rarely go to a mall anymore where there is an escalator, so I think I am safe. They are comfy shoes, that feel great-I just usually enjoy wearing my keds more :)

My son has had his shoelace get caught in the escalator before. It happened five years ago at the Belk in the Southpoint Mall in Durham NC. It shreaded the shoelace, but the shoe and his foot was fine. (someone nearby quickly cut off the escalator). Belk replaced the shoelaces at no cost, probably thankful that was the only reprocussion of the incident.

  4. I figured you'd lead the charge of safe Croc wearing :-) Good to hear from you, though should really get out to malls with escalators again ;-).

Belk is usually good about correcting problems like shoelaces in escalators. Glad they were able to get to your son before something happened.
