[B]usiness observers credit the leadership of the Finish Line for learning from those stumbles, enabling the company to weather changing fashion trends, competitive pressures and other challenges to reach a key milestone: In the fiscal year ending in February, the company expects to surpass $1 billion in sales for the first time in its 22-year history.
Since the company's humble beginning in Speedway [Indiana], Finish Line has expanded to operate 564 stores in 46 states. This fiscal year, analysts expect the company to report sales of $1.2 billion and profit of $58 million to $60 million.
