Sneakerplay is a new, innovative social network designed specifically for the global sneaker culture, kind of like MySpace with more rubber and leather, or Flickr for sport shoe addicts.
They're currently in a private, invite-only beta, which means you need to know somebody to set up an account to access the site. I totally want in. I'm no Josh Spear, but it's obvious if you read this blog, I do keep up with what's hot in sneaker culture.
Members can create galleries, tag and organize collections, meet new people and see great sneakers. One of its coolest innovations is the 'Battle' system, pitting sneaker vs sneaker with a winner decided by the community, which works nicely as a baramoter of whats hot in the sneaker world at the moment.
Check it out. Hopefully it won't be too much of a wait until the final release.
