13th anniversary

On August 11, 1992, the Mall of America, the biggest U.S. shopping mall, opened in Bloomington, Minnesota.

  1. It's just waaayy too big to shop...if you're one of those people who shops the entire mall and then goes back at the end to grab what you liked, don't even bother visiting the Mall of American with the intention of shopping...you'll be there for an eternity (three floors of fun!).

If you're like me and you buy whatever you like the second you see it, you'll go broke before you're done with the first floor.

Definitely a tourist attraction/cool place to visit and not a shop-able mall!

  2. Nah, I can't see the Mall of America being my weekly shopping spot either. The big malls suck for anything more than browsing, like you were saying, though they make good vacation spots.

I've always wanted to go out to Minnesota to see this place, but I've never had a good enough reason to do it. A friend of mine that I used to work with was trying to get me to ride the train out there last year, and if I had a little more cash, I probably would have done it. I have to see this place at least once.
