Most of these facts have been well-known and documented for some time. The Vegan/Organic community has attempted to shed light on this information through independent literature; unfortunately, the mainstream media is so controlled by major corporate interests that these facts tend not to make the 'front page.'
The whole 'got milk?' ad campaign was designed to do proactive damage-control as a result of efforts to raise public awareness of these issues. The dairy farming interests have a lot to lose.......
