My friend Al Cabino is always telling me about something new in the world of sneakers, and today he sent me a link to an online petition he started that may be of interest to some of you out in Steve-land.
Remember the "future" Nike sneakers worn by Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) in "Back to the Future Part II?" They were really cool and highly sought after, but Nike up to now has never re-released them, even though they've seemingly "retroed" just about everything else they made in the '80s.
Al's petition is about getting Nike's attention and bringing this slice of history back into production, to the enjoyment of sneakerheads everywhere. He and I believe that the "future" Nike sneakers would be immensely popular and not only boost Nike's sales but gain new fans of the Nike brand.
