Crate & Barrel, Tysons Corner

For me, a trip to Washington would not be complete without a trip to the Crate & Barrel, and in part five of my DC photo series, we vist the store, located adjacent to both Tysons Corner Center and Tysons Galleria in McLean.

This Crate & Barrel store was orginally located in Tysons Corner Center and moved to this location about four years ago. The main sales area is elevated on its sloping site so that the first floor features covered parking, which is an added amenity and innovative use of space on the tight site. The salesfloors are on the second and third levels.

Crate & Barrel is knowm for their distinctive store design and this location does not disappoint:

The main salesfloor on the second level.

Though it's very contemporary, Carte & Barrel makes liberal use of natural materials.

The second floor features an outdoor sales area for patio furniture.

The third floor features a massive curved ceiling and lots of windows.
